A Chinese dragon based on an original relief sculpture. It, and its unpainted brethren form the focal point of a Georgian ballroom. If you could see it in the flesh, it appears to be woven, rather like a tapestry.

Exterior Decoration Gold Leaf
Large gilded wrought iron gates, you can't see much really, but a fleur de lys detail is pictured to your right.
It took about 1000 books of gold leaf to complete the work.
Gilding & Decoration
Gold leaf has a natural lustre that no other material can rival. Although it is extremely thin it is durable enough to outlast any painted finish.
